Celebrate the 80th Anniversary of VE Day, with an afternoon tea, which marked the end of the war in Europe and WWII as a whole on 8th May 1945.

Picnic in the Park

Picnic in the Park is an annual, free, community event, held in our local Baysgarth Park on Brigg Road in Barton upon Humber. The event is open to the public from Midday until 4pm with free entertainment including live musical and dance performances, arts & crafts stalls, adult challenges, running races and children’s entertainers. All ages are welcome to join us.

VJ Day 2025

2025 marks 80 years since the end of the Second World War, with Victory over Japan (VJ) Day on 14 August 1945. Please join the Barton upon Humber Town Council for an Afternoon Tea on Thursday 14 August 2025 to mark this momentous anniversary to ensure that the service and sacrifice of the Second World War generation is always remembered.
