Volunteers Needed to grow the service across Lincolnshire – Full training, support and expenses are provided.
The Guide Dogs ‘My Sighted Guide’ service aims to match volunteers with people living with sight loss in their local community. The ‘partnership’ then go out together, often once a week, either for a social outing or for something more specific such as building confidence or practicing routes.
There are several clients within Lincolnshire who do not have any volunteers to match with them so we need your help.
Family-run housing developer, Charworth Homes, took to the streets of Barton-Upon-Humber on Earth Day (22nd April) in a bid to help clean up the town! Inspired by local litter heroes Barton Baggers, the team at Charworth Homes got their hands dirty with a few hours of litter picking in support of the event.
Baysgarth Park Parkrun REQUIRES VOLUNTEERS TO LAUNCH. Parkrun is an inclusive 5km run, jog, walk event that is free & organised entirely by volunteers. They are hugely popular, taking place all over the world every Saturday at 09:00. It is a good time to check your shed security and if buying new locks or alarms for sheds or outbuilding to make the quality of the lock proportionate to the items inside and place advisory stickers of alarms and locks as a deterrent. Please have a read of the seven easy steps document to make your shed more secure and help prevent loss of valuable items.
